The Para-Dressage Talent Search and Emerging Athlete Clinic sponsored by North Texas Equestrian Center March 15-17 was inspirational, motivational, and well organized.

No time for drama queen shenanigans, get the job done, and ride to win!
— Kai Handt

The featured clinician, Past US Paralympic Chef D’equipe Kai Handt, presented a systematic and disciplined approach to training which met the unique needs of each participating Para-Equestrian. Kai’s incredible knowledge, clear explanations, patience, and humor made it possible for each Para-Equestrian to not only improve riding skills during the clinic, but also have fun while working hard. Kai’s sensitive compassion for Para-Equestrians was apparent and honest.

I respect Kai’s philosophy: “No time for drama queen shenanigans, get the job done, and ride to win!”

Each Para-Equestrian was privileged to be partnered with an extraordinary horse who was not only a safe animal with which to work, but also a fabulous teacher. Kai’s professional and friendly staff took great care of the riders and horses as needed and made everyone feel welcome and at home in the NTEC facility. Kai has inspired and motivated me to make the necessary sacrifices to train consistently with him at NTEC.

I encourage Para-Equestrians and Abled-Bodied Riders to train at NTEC. The lives of individuals who choose to make this commitment will be forever transformed and uplifted.
