LIFE’E RIDE: OPERATION ATTITUDE TRAINING PLAN

There is something about the outside of a horse
that is good for the inside of a man.

Winston Churchill

Many of you are skilled equestrians with fond memories of riding or showing horses.  Some of you are hesitant because of unpleasant experiences.  Others of you; however, have never been around a horse and don’t care to be.  Regardless of your personal perspective about horses, leadership is everyone’s responsibility, and applying the principles leading to success in equestrian sport activities will not only help you become a leader in your own life, but will also empower you to successfully guide others toward happiness and success.

Equestrian training has taught me these life lessons:

  • Before I can master the horse, I must master my thoughts and emotions.

  • I can only ride as well as I can guide.

  • If I don’t know where I am going, how can I expect the horse to get there?

  • If I don’t communicate to the horse where we are going, how can I expect the horse to know where to go?

I am excited about this monthly BLOG opportunity to share my OPERATION ATTITUDE TRAINING PLAN with you.  Why is my training plan important?  Without effective guidance, achieving success and happiness will be difficult.  Without effective guidance, overcoming adversity will be almost impossible.

The three steps in my system are:

  1. ADJUST YOUR PERSPECTIVE

  2. TAKE ACTION

  3. STAY ON COURSE

Next month, I’ll discuss one life-changing strategy from ADJUST YOUR PERSPECTIVE, so be sure and check back on January 1, 2021.

As we continue to celebrate this unprecedented 2020 holiday season while navigating through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, please remember:

  • you can succumb to your hardship and choose to live life in a sinkhole of despair, failure, and pain, or

  • you can choose to acquire the strength, courage, and skills to get up, shake off the dirt, get back on your horse, and guide a triumphant ride by faith, not by sight.  It’s not about waiting for the fire to burn out; it’s about learning to ride through the flames!

Every challenge and every difficulty you successfully confront in life will strengthen your will, confidence, and ability to overcome future obstacles.  Adopting the mindset that you will conquer and not be conquered can ultimately change you from a victim to a victorious Life’s Ride Champion.  If I can overcome the adversities blinding my Vision Beyond Eyesight, so can you!
